Chapter 7 Can't Escape (Song: Inside of Me)
Kam prepares for the invasion of the Underworld. He ingests the latest version of the formula Dayne gave him. Kam secretly hopes that it will work for him.
Kam slowly transforms from level headed strategist to insatiable vamp. He accepts that his fate is driven by his chemical composition— that of a vampire. He knows he is losing control, and at any moment he'll become a blood seeking monster.
He's frustrated that he can't contain this part of him. Soon, his monster urge overpowers him. He fights the vamp transition in vain, but he can't escape his vampire monster within.
